Today was all about redemption. The Green Army had been waiting for this rematch.
A few weeks ago, a day to forget saw FCP reduced to nine men after some baffling referee decisions, and Holland FC took full advantage. But today was about settling the score.
The journey to Holland FC was long,
120 miles, but spirits were high, powered by a little Red Bull and a lot of determination. The youngest member of the squad kept everyone waiting, fresh off scoring two goals in the JPL!
From the first whistle, FCP came out firing. The boys dominated possession and played direct, confident football, showing they were up for the challenge.
Goal 1-0:
FCP took the lead with the first real chance of the match. A corner whipped in by Ruben found Niall, who rose above the defense to power home a header. A deserved lead for FCP!
Goal 1-1:
Controversy again. A handball was harshly given against Sultan, and Holland FC capitalised, scoring from the resulting free kick. Frustrations grew as several questionable fouls, especially hacks on Ayman by the Holland left-back, went unpunished.
Goal 2-1:
FCP regained their lead just before halftime. Vito picked up the ball outside the box and unleashed a stunning 30-yard strike. The keeper had no chance. A quality goal, and FCP were back in control.
Halftime:
FCP had been on top, with both wingers, Ayman and Ruben tearing apart the Holland fullbacks. The left-back, in particular, had a torrid time and had to be subbed off after being run ragged by Ayman.
Halftime refreshments were… interesting. Cheese sandwiches didn’t impress, but the mini rolls hit the spot. Unfortunately, the coffee only scored a 4/10 from the Green Army faithful.
Second Half:
FCP picked up where they left off, dominating possession and continuing to create chances.
Goal 3-1:
Ayman got the goal his performance deserved. After causing problems all game, he finally got on the scoresheet, finishing off a slick team move.
Goal 4-1:
Atif stormed down the wing, delivering a perfect cross to crowd favorite Devonte, who made no mistake with the finish. Game over. The boys were absolutely bossing it, and the match was settled.
Full Time:
FCP secured their fourth win in a row with a commanding 4-1 victory, climbing even further up the table. It was payback, pure and simple. Every player was at their best today, and there was no doubt that FCP were leaving with three points.
This wasn’t just about winning—it was about showing Holland FC what it’s like to face a full-strength FCP. Mission accomplished!

Post-Match:
No day at the seaside is complete without fish and chips! The players joined the Green Army for some well-deserved grub after the match. As they explored Clacton, the locals looked a little confused as FCP took over the town—and even more so when one player returned with enough 2p coins to last a lifetime!
Day out at Holland: complete.
Massive win: achieved.
3 points: in the bag.
Dominant performance: delivered.
Fish and chips: consumed.
Redemption: earned.
